Public Transportation

Yerevan offers a variety of public transportation options, including buses, minibuses, the metro, trolleybuses, and taxis. The subway (metro) runs from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Travel is managed via cards, and public transport in Yerevan is well-organized, efficient, and ensures smooth travel from point A to point B without the need for transfers. While there are fewer trolleybuses, most of them pass through the city center. Taxis are very popular in Yerevan due to their affordability, and you can either hail one on the street or book one online.

Getting to the City Center from the Airport

There are three main ways to travel from Zvartnots International Airport to downtown Yerevan: a. Public Bus – Departs every 30 minutes. b. Taxi – Available locally or via online booking. c. Private Transfer – This is the most preferred option, as taxi prices can vary and the public bus is relatively slow. We recommend using the trusted private transfer service here: www.airporttransfer.am.

Car Rental

Car rental is not as common in Armenia, and many visitors opt for hiring a local driver who is familiar with the roads and traffic regulations. However, you can find major international car rental brands such as Hertz, Europcar, and Sixt. Additionally, there are numerous local car rental companies offering competitive rates.
